When the thing you love loves you back!

I had a surreal experience last Friday night! I was on the web (as usual) and the most unexpected thing happened. One of the authors of In Her Majesty's Name PM'ed me on Face Book to ask if I would like to be a part of his and his partners next book! To be sure I was blown away! They need photographs for their upcoming book IHMN Gothic. They wondered if I would like to help out.Um...Well after the shock wore off I immediately said "Yes!" The gentleman is from England so I was thinking a "Hell Fuck Yes!" would come off a tad bit strong. So here I sit with something I did not expect and am feeling very lucky and thankful for the chance. So now I guess I wait for further instructions and prepare to blow their socks off!

I was having a dream...

I had this idea about a creepy guy who is kidnapping children in the guise of taking them off the streets and bringing them to his orphanage. Ya he is evil.....

The road to Sleepy Hollow

Back in 2011 I started a whole new facet to my gaming. Having spent over thirty years as an RPG guy I delved into skirmish wargaming. It seemed fun and I just happened to get introduced into a genre that I found fascinating! A friend got me a copy of GASLIGHT and from there I was off to the proverbial races! Victorian Science Fiction! It was indeed a heady time and I wanted to show you what kinds of things I had created "back in the day!" Needless to say it was all done in 1/72 scale minis! They were cheap and plentiful. But I was itching to get into even smaller battles. I wanted bigger minis and most important , I wanted minis with style! I then decided that 28mm was my best option. I thought about 15mm but at that time I was just in love with the huge selection of minis out there! So basically I just wanted to show you a small sample of where I was and maybe explain how I got from there to here.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGhbzBBp5OU
My first crafting! The gunboat HMS Margretta!
A US Cavalry Swamp Walker!
Atlantean Dino Riders!

I have a blog? It seems laughable that someone who has a Youtube Channel and thinks he knows everything about social media would not know he had a blog available! Well...I have one available and since I have this space I figured I may as well use it. As this is my first entry let me explain what this will be about. Gaming! Miniatures! Scratchbuilding! ...and did I mention gaming? When most people think of gaming they ordinarily have a vision of two or more people sitting around playing some sort of game. Well I am not that lucky. I don't have anyone near me who games so I didn't let that stop me. I am a solo wargamer! There are many like me (sadly) but I have always read in gaming rules that a good relationship with one's opponent is vital. Sportsmanship and all that goes with it depends on playing with like minded and cool people! Playing solo completely solves the issue of finding others to share in the gaming experience. That brings me to Sleepy Hollow! Originally I started this project as a way to relieve stress and relax. It has since become an obsession. In a good way of course! I find myself constantly shifting from genre to genre and I came to the realization that the only people I needed to please were..well you get the picture!
